Design Compiler FPGA (DC FPGA)
Synopsys’ newest synthesis solution, Design Compiler®
FPGA (DC FPGA) is an FPGA synthesis product targeted
at designers who prototype ASICs in high-end FPGAs.
Since these FPGAs are extremely large and complex,
designers now require an ASIC-like methodology in their
prototyping process. With a traditional ASIC prototyping flow
there are a number of manual changes that must be made
to move the design between ASIC and FPGA. These
changes are time consuming and can introduce errors.
Built upon Synopsys‚ Design Compiler technology and
incorporating new Adaptive Optimization™ technology, DC
FPGA provides seamless migration between ASIC and
FPGA flows, so designers now can design once—saving
time and money.
Synopsys continues to sell and support FPGA synthesis
tool, FPGA Compiler II (FCII). There’s a migration package
for FCII customers who would like to move to DC FPGA.
